DOING WHATEVER A SPIDER-PIG DOES

What? It's only been seven months since my last update. That's more often than some official sites I frequent.

Anyway, a fair amount of shiznit has occurred in those intervening seven months. Psychosis has been completed and...
... actually, that's pretty much it. Goddamn, I suck.

But never fear, 'cos some new stuff is on the way. Nicola's project, White Lie, is set to go before cameras in the very immediate future, and I've actually built a set for Day of the Bread: Killer Sandwich III, which means I'm further into production than ever before. I just need to finish the script.

The reason for this half-year hiatus is due to a couple of factors: 1) I'm still languishing in dial-up hell (despite nearly 2 months of arguements with Orange, who failed to actually deliver on any kind of service they offered to provide and indeed charged me for, so fuck them) and 2) As you can see by the picture below, my domain is now entirely Mac-based, and with this site being housed on the PC downstairs, it's somewhat of a chore to come down and actually update it.

However, I keep my MySpace account pretty up-to-date and I've started uploading stuff to YouTube (as you're about to discover), so to keep track of all my wheelings and dealings, you're best best is to subscribe to either of those feeds.

When I finally get around to getting a decent web design program/FTP software for the Mac, I'll overhaul this thing and put it on another server (with less risk of my ISP deleting everything, again.)

And so, on with the show...

STUFF I'VE DONE IN THE LAST 7 MONTHS

Psychosis is finished!

It had it's premiere at The Hyde Park Picture House on June 1st (along with the rest of the BA2 projects) and went down a treat. I'll be uploading stills and video from the event at some point at which I can be arsed.

I made a new showreel, updated for 2007. Check it out.

You may or may not know this, but I post on Kevin Smith's messageboard. A few months ago, his friend and director/screenwriter posted a thread entitled "Somebody Film This," in which he posted a short script and asked the filmmakers of the board to take a shot at it.

I was one of those filmmakers.

Here's the original version. Later, someone said that the script should be made as a silent film, so I adapted my version. Check that out here

You'll probably see some of the other interpretations of the script on the "related videos" list. Check 'em out, they're pretty awesome too.
I rescored Nicola's epic motion picture, The Interview

Click the poster for the new version.

I've also been practicing my music by rescoring scenes from other, better films. Check out my versions of scenes from Police Story and The Frighteners.

I'll try and get another update in before Christmas, but no guarantees, I'm afraid. As I said, look me up on MySpace or YouTube for more frequent updates.

HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES!

S'up, folks.

Post-production on Psychosis is trundling along quite nicely. But for this update, we're going old-skool, to some extent.

This is my set-up. On the left is my old eMac, and on the right is the brand-spanking new, 17" widescreen, 160GB, 2GHz, 1GB RAM iMac. As you can see, it is jean-creamingly awesome.

Since it came with a copy of Garageband and I've always loved film music, I thought I'd give composing a shot.

And so, witness the newly scored incarnation of the entertaining but unremarkable 101% Dead.

Right-click the poster to download it or go to the 2005 section.
Alternatively, download the mp3 of the music here, where all it's mistimed shortcomings are all the more apparent.

WE'RE ON THE I.M.D.B!

 Oh yes...We've finally made it.

Sorely under appreciated (in that neither Sam Raimi nor George Romero has rung me yet to offer me a job) zombie flick Angry and Moist is now on the Internet Movie Database, a cinematic shrine that despite it's frequent inaccuracies, gets over 11 million hits a week.

So, if you've seen it, drop by and review and/or rate it. If not, go and start a discussion about it. Either way, I want some activity on that page, before it's updated with cast and crew info, just so the IMDB staff can see and learn to rue/worship the name JAMES RAYNOR.
