| Synopsis |
Daytime TV is mind-meltingly
dull and cheesier than Spike Milligan's feet. "This Evening" takes the
whole genre on a ride it will never forget.
-
We feature:
-
- An all-male presenting team,
comprising Dave Marigold the terminally nice chap, and Bob Fester, who
was nice until he discovered he has Tourette's syndrome: now he's depressed
and he's taking everyone else with him;
-
- A movie reviewer with a serious
grudge against mainstream film but no issues with homicide;
-
- A fashion designer with bizarre
fashion 'creations' - actually, no, they're pretty realistic;
-
- Big money prizes for no-brainer
questions in the competition ("Easy Cash Grab");
-
- The American yet bizarrely
British sounding band from Hell, Lincoln Biscuit, who refuse to answer
questions and who perform their single which primarily involves shouting.
Combine this with some nice
funny lines and some nice funny situations and you have a nice funny show.
